US tin plate exports fall 12.5 percent in April

US exports of tin plate totaled 10,720 mt in April, down 12.5 percent from March but up 5.0 percent from April 2016 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $7.0 million in April, compared to $7.6 million in the previous month and $6.1 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most tin plate to India in April, with 3,339 mt, compared to 3,853 mt in March and 2,091 mt in April 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 1,774 mt; Pakistan, with 1,271 mt; and Mexico, with 1,033 mt.
