US tin plate exports drop 7.3 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 11,869 mt in November, down 7.3 percent from October but up 26.6 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $7.4 million in November, compared to $8.1 million in the previous month and $5.6 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to India in November with 3,789 mt, compared to 3,702 mt in October and 2,256 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Pakistan, with 2,123 mt; and Canada, with 1,802 mt.
