US tin plate exports down 8.2 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 8,593 mt in November 2018, down 8.2 percent from October and down 27.6 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $6.1 million in November, compared to $6.9 million in the previous month and $7.4 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to India in November with 3,242 mt, compared to 2,984 mt in October and 3,789 mt in November 2017. Other destinations included Pakistan, with 1,754 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US tin plate exports in November.
