US tin plate exports down 30.7 percent in April

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 4,936 mt in April 2020, down 30.7 percent from March and down 47.7 percent from April 2019 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $3.3 million in April, compared to $5.1 million in the previous month and $6.8 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to Pakistan in April with 976 mt, compared to 1,183 mt in March and 1,110 mt in April 2019. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US tin plate exports in April.
