US structural pipe and tube imports down 8.8 percent in November

According to delayed final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of structural pipe and tube totaled 25,109 mt in November 2018, down 8.8 percent from October. By value, structural pipe and tube imports totaled $30.5 million in November 2018, compared to $32.5 million in the previous month.

The US imported the most structural pipe and tube from Canada in November, with 13,065 mt, compared to 15,706 mt in October. Other top sources of imported structural pipe and tube in November include Mexico, with 4,566 mt; Japan, with 1,863 mt; and Malaysia with 1,199 mt.
