US structural pipe and tube imports down 11.8 percent in November

According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of structural pipe and tube totaled 36,617 mt in November 2021, down 11.8 percent from October but up 37.1 percent from November 2020 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube imports totaled $74.6 million in November 2021, compared to $82.0 million in October and $28.0 million in November 2020.

The US imported the most structural pipe and tube from Canada in November, with 19,559 mt, compared to 20,777 mt in October and 19,525 mt in November 2020. Other top sources of imported structural pipe and tube in November include Mexico, with 6,029 mt; Spain, with 2,955 mt; Korea, with 1,618 mt; and India, with 1,305 mt.
