According to US preliminary census data, US monthly steel imports in March 2017 increased 24.8 percent from February (census data) to total 3,081,199 mt. A year-on-year comparison shows a 30.6 percent increase. In terms of value, US steel imports in March totaled $2.43 billion, compared to $1.95 billion in February and $1.75 billion in March 2016.
