The Ohio Department of Development announced Monday that three Lorain County, Ohio businesses, including integrated steel producer US Steel, will be granted tax credits to create and retain jobs.

Due to US Steel's $93.6 million expansion in Lorain, the company was awarded a 50 percent job creation tax credit estimated at $559,166 for a seven-year term -a project expected to create 80 jobs in addition to retaining 508 current positions, as long as the company maintains its operations at the site for 10 years.
