US standard pipe imports up 13.7 percent in November

According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of standard pipe totaled 55,510 mt in November 2019, up 13.7 percent from October and up 2.3 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, standard pipe imports totaled $52.2 million in November 2019, compared to $48.4 million in the previous month and $58.0 million in the same month last year.

The US imported the most standard pipe from Canada in November, with 12,459 mt, compared to 14,254 mt in October and 11,606 mt in November 2018. Other top sources of imported standard pipe in November include Korea, with 8,350 mt; UAE, with 7,091 mt; Turkey, with 4,949 mt; and Mexico, with 4,730 mt.
