US rig count stays level again while Canadian count declines week-on-week

Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending February 14, the US rotary rig count remained level again at 790 rigs following no change the week before. The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by one to 110, while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by two to 678. The overall rig count is now down by 261 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by two to 255 rigs in the week ending February 14, following a 10-rig increase the week before. The Canadian rig count is now up by 31 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
