Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 6, the US rotary rig count increased by four to 300 rigs. The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by one to 71, while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by five to 226. The overall rig count is now down by 517 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count stayed stable at 86 rigs in the week ending November 6. The Canadian rig count is now down by 54 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
