According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 15,730 mt in July 2019, up 46.3 percent from June but down 21.9 percent from July 2018 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $11.6 million in July, compared to $8.1 million in the previous month and $13.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in July with 11,682 mt, compared to 7,729 mt in June and 16,763 mt in July 2018. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 2,989 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in July.
