US plates in coil exports up 0.5 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of US exports of plates in coil totaled 40,257 mt in November, up 0.5 percent from October and up 21.0 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, plates in coil exports totaled $29.9 million in November, compared to $28.9 million in the previous month and $21.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most plates in coil to Mexico in November with 24,937 mt, compared to 28,632 mt in October and 23,200 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 14,174 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) of US export plates in coil in November.
