According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 28,413 mt in June 2018, up 6.6 percent from May but down 11.4 percent from June 2017 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $56.9 million in June, compared to $50.2 million in the previous month and $54.5 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in June with 19,354 mt, compared to 17,293 mt in May and 24,056 mt in June 2017. Other destinations include Mexico, with 1,875 mt; and Saudi Arabia, with 1,044 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in June.
