US OCTG exports up 23.8 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 20,804 mt in February 2019, up 23.8 percent from January but down 22.8 percent from February 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $36.9 million in February, compared to $33.7 million in the previous month and $43.5 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in February with 10,281 mt, compared to 9,721 mt in January and 17,822 mt in February 2018. Other top destinations included Spain, with 2,905 mt; and France, with 1,987 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export OCTG in February.
