US OCTG exports rise 42.2 percent in April

US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 39,020 mt in April, up 42.2 percent from March and up 205.9 percent from April 2016 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $99.2 million in April, compared to $43.5 million in the previous month and $29.5 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in April, with 26,821 mt, compared to 18,851 mt in March and 7,797 mt in April 2016. Other top destinations included Panama, with 6,840 mt; and Mexico, with 1,516 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for US OCTG exports in April.
