US OCTG exports fall 0.2 percent in March

US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 27,438 mt in March, down 0.2 percent from February but up 57.5 percent from March 2016 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $43.5 million in March, compared to $48.6 million in the previous month and $41.1 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in March, with 27,438 mt, compared to 19,508 mt in February and 7,304 mt in March 2016. Other top destinations included Cote d’Ivoire, with 2,468; and Mexico, with 1,301 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in March.
