US OCTG exports drop 2.8 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 26,951 mt in February 2018, down 2.8 percent from January and down 1.9 percent from February 2017 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $58.9 million in February, compared to $43.5 million in the previous month and $48.6 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in February with 17,822 mt, compared to 21,307 mt in January and 19,508 mt in February 2017. Other top destinations included Spain, with 1,187 mt; and United Kingdom, with 1,032 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in February.
