According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 16,639 mt in October 2018, down 5.9 percent from September and down 48.0 percent from October 2017 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $30.8 million in October, compared to $42.8 million in the previous month and $56.4 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in October with 11,467 mt, compared to 8,082 mt in September and 25,140 mt in October 2017. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,165 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in October.
