US OCTG exports down 18.9 percent in April

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 14,390 mt in April 2019, down 18.9 percent from March and down 49.8 percent from April 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $26.7 million in April, compared to $34.8 million in the previous month and $46.4 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in April with 9,556 mt, compared to 10,892 mt in March and 18,747 mt in April 2018. There were no other major destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in April.
