US OCTG exports down 14.7 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 17,742 mt in March 2019, down 14.7 percent from February and down 28.2 percent from March 2018 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $34.8 million in March, compared to $36.9 million in the previous month and $46.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in March with 10,892 mt, compared to 10,281 mt in February and 17,356 mt in March 2018. Other top destinations included Egypt, with 1,641 mt; Guyana, with 1,199 mt; and Spain, with 1,183 mt.
