US might investigate certain heavy-walled rectangular pipe imports

US domestic steel pipe producers Atlas Tube, a division of JMC Steel Group, Bull Moose Tube Company, EXLTUBE, Hannibal Industries, Inc., Independence Tube Corporation, Maruichi American Corporation, Searing Industries, Southland Tube, and Vest, Inc. have filed a petition with the US Department of Commerce for the imposition of antidumping and countervailing duties on heavy-walled rectangular (HWR) welded carbon steel pipes and tubes imports from South Korea, Mexico and Turkey. EXLTUBE is not among the petitioners in the case against Mexico.

The petition includes certain welded carbon steel pipes and tubes of rectangular (including square) cross section, having a wall thickness of not less than 4mm, not threaded and not otherwise advanced.

The subject product currently falls under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7306.61.1000.
