US mechanical tubing exports up 42.4 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 4,349 mt in March 2019, up 42.4 percent from February but down 25.7 percent from March 2018 levels. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $12.9 million in March, compared to $9.8 million in the previous month and $18.0 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in March with 2,810 mt, compared to 2,193 mt in February and 3,340 mt in March 2018. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export mechanical tubing in March.
