US mechanical tubing exports up 1.2 percent in July

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 3,259 mt in July 2019, up 1.2 percent from June but down 21.5 percent from July 2018 levels. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $9.6 million in July, compared to $9.7 million in the previous month and $12.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in July with 2,370 mt, compared to 2,269 mt in June and 2,868 mt in July 2018. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in July.
