US mechanical tubing exports up 0.3 percent in May

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 4,407 mt in May 2019, up 0.3 percent from April but down 15.8 percent from May 2018 levels. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $13.5 million in May, compared to $13.3 million in the previous month and $13.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in May with 2,795 mt, compared to 2,902 mt in April and 3,533 mt in May 2018. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export mechanical tubing in May.
