According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 4,949 mt in December 2022, down 32.9 percent from November and down 3.2 percent from December 2021 levels. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $13.3 million in December, compared to $19.0 million in the previous month and $13.9 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in December with 2,011 mt, compared to 2,878 mt in November and 3,215 mt in December 2021. Other top destinations included Canada, with 1,821 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in December.
