US HRC exports remain virtually stable in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot rolled sheet totaled 74,176 mt in November, up 0.01 percent from October but up 15.7 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, HRC exports totaled $52.3 million in November, compared to $55.4 million in the previous month and $45.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most HRC to Mexico in November with 54,189 mt, compared to 51,440 mt in October and 34,630 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 19,154 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) of US export HRC in November.
