US exports of hot rolled bar totaled 40,164 mt in February, up 12.4 percent from January and up 22.4 percent from February 2016 levels. By value, hot rolled bar exports totaled $38.9 million in February, compared to $35.8 million in the previous month and $34.5 million the same month last year.
The
US shipped the most hot rolled bar to Canada in February, with 21,831 mt, compared to 18,552 mt in January and 15,431 mt in February 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 16,692 mt. There were no other notable (over 1,000 mt) destinations for
US hot rolled bar exports in February.
