According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of US exports of hot rolled bar totaled 41,537 mt in November, down 3.1 percent from October but up 41.7 percent from November 2016 levels. By value, hot rolled bar exports totaled $41.1 million in November, compared to $43.4 million in the previous month and $30.7 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most hot rolled bar to Mexico in November with 20,321 mt, compared to 20,772 mt in October and 13,666 mt in November 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 19,317 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) of US export hot rolled bar in November.
