US drawn wire exports down 9.1 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of drawn wire totaled 5,163 mt in June 2019, down 9.1 percent from May and down 39.3 percent from June 2018 levels. By value, drawn wire exports totaled $11.9 million in June, compared to $14.3 million in the previous month and $18.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most drawn wire to Mexico in June with 2,485 mt, compared to 2,355 mt in May and 2,668 mt in June 2018. Other destinations include Canada, with 1,674 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US drawn wire exports in June.
