US drawn wire exports down 6.4 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 5,426 mt in November 2019, down 6.4 percent from October and down 15.9 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $11.7 million in November, compared to $13.0 million in the previous month and $15.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to Canada in November with 2,203 mt, compared to 2,077 mt in October and 2,304 mt in November 2018. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,994 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US tin plate exports in November.
