On June 1, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated a sunset review of the countervailing duty order on oil country tubular goods (OCTG) imported from Italy. On the basis of the notices of intent to participate, and adequate substantive responses filed on behalf of the domestic interested parties, and inadequate responses from the respondent interested parties, the DOC has conducted an expedited sunset review of this order. As a result of this sunset review, the DOC has found that revocation of the countervailing duty order would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy. Therefore, the DOC has decided to revoke this countervailing duty order on OCTG from Italy.
