On Monday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) rescinded its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order against hot-rolled carbon steel flat products from India. The review originally covered one producer/exporter-Ispat Industries Limited-during the calendar year 2010.
The review was requested by United States Steel Corporation, but the DOC found that Ispat Industries made no sales or shipments to the United States during the period of review. Accordingly, the DOC rescinded the review.
The CVD deposit rate remains 15.27 percent for Ispat Industries.
There is also an antidumping order against hot-rolled carbon steel flat products from India. The current dumping duty deposit rate is zero (0.00) percent for Ispat Industries.
