US DOC: Preliminary results of sunset review on rebar from Latvia & Ukraine

On August 1, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on steel concrete reinforcing bars (rebar) imported from Latvia and Ukraine. On the basis of the notices of intent to participate and an adequate substantive response filed on behalf of the domestic interested parties and adequate responses from respondent interested parties, the DOC has conducted full sunset reviews of these orders. As a result of these sunset reviews, the DOC found that revocation of these antidumping orders would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping at the levels indicated below:
