US DOC: Preliminary results of new shipper review for Turkish pipes
On March 30, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) received a request from Turkish producer Toscelik for a new shipper review of the countervailing duty order on certain welded carbon steel pipes imported from Turkey. Since the producer certified that it did not export subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation, the DOC, on May 2, 2006, initiated a new shipper review of the countervailing duty order on certain welded carbon steel pipes imported from Toscelik Profil ve Sac Endustrisi A.S (Toscelik), and its affiliated export trading company, Tosyali Dis Ticaret A.S (Tosyali). The review covered the period January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005. The DOC has preliminarily determined that the net subsidy rate for the company under review is 0.20 percent ad valorem, which is de minimis. Interested parties are invited to comment on these preliminary results.
