The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has released its final results in the administrative review of the antidumping order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Mexico.

The review covered two Mexican producers/exporters, ArcelorMittal Las Truchas and Deacero, during the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015.

The DOC assigned a final dumping margin of 40.52 percent to Deacero, based on adverse facts available (AFA) because Deacero allegedly made significant and unsubstantiated changes to its cost database but mischaracterized those changes as minor.  Consequently, the DOC assigned the highest dumping margin in the petition to Deacero as AFA.

The DOC determined that ArcelorMittal Las Truchas made no shipments of subject wire rod to the United States during the period of review.  As such, the dumping duty deposit rate is now 40.52 percent for Deacero and remains at 2.59 percent for ArcelorMittal Las Truchas.
