The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced its preliminary results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) on circular-welded carbon steel pipes and tubes imports from Turkey

Accordingly, in its preliminary decision the US DOC  has calculated a de minimis preliminary subsidy rate of 0.37 percent for Borusan Group Companies and a preliminary subsidy rate of 8.63 percent for the other producers/exporters from Turkey.

The administrative review launched on May 2, 2016 upon the request of US-based pipe producer Wheatland Tube covers the period between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.

Unless the deadline is extended, the US DOC intends to issue the final results of this administrative review within 120 days after issuance of these preliminary results.

The products in question currently fall under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) as item numbers 7306.30.10, 7306.30.50 and 7306.90.10.
