The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced its final determinations in the antidumping (AD) duty investigations of imports of cold-drawn mechanical tubing from China, Germany, India, Italy, South Korea, and Switzerland. The department also determined that critical circumstances exist with respect to Italy-based Dalmine S.p.A. and Metalfer S.p.A., but not with respect to all other producers/exporters in Italy.

Accordingly, the DOC determined that exporters from Germany, India, Italy, China, South Korea and Switzerland sold cold-drawn mechanical tubing in the US at less than fair value.

The final dumping margins range between 3.11 percent and 209.06 percent.

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to make its final determinations on or about May 24.

The products in question currently fall under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) 7304.31.3000, 7304.31.6050, 7304.51.1000, 7304.51.5005, 7304.51.5060, 7306.30.5015, 7306.30.5020 and 7306.50.5030. Subject merchandise may also enter under numbers 7306.30.1000 and 7306.50.1000.
