The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced that it has initiated an antidumping (AD) circumvention inquiry regarding certain cut-to-length (CTL) carbon steel plate from China.
The inquiry is in response to a request from domestic steel producers ArcelorMittal USA Inc., Nucor Corporation, SSAB N.A.D., Evraz Claymont Steel and Evraz Oregon Steel.
The respondents in the inquiry are producer Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. and importer Stemcor USA Inc.
The DOC will, following consultation with interested parties, establish a schedule for questionnaires and comments on the issues. It intends to issue its final determination within 300 days of the date of publication of this initiation notice.
