US cut-length plate exports up 14.1 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 70,206 mt in November 2018, up 14.1 percent from October but down 23.8 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $80.9 million in November, compared to $69.2 million in the previous month and $86.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Mexico in November with 38,091 mt, compared to 37,659 mt in October and 31,888 mt in November 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 25,879 mt; Sweden, with 1,698 mt; Brazil, with 1,050 mt; and Peru, with 1,027 mt.
