US cut-length plate exports down 19.1 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 58,111 mt in November 2019, down 19.1 percent from October and down 17.2 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $56.4 million in November, compared to $73.5 million in the previous month and $80.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Mexico in November with 31,615 mt, compared to 42,893 mt in October and 38,091 mt in November 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 23,847 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cut-length plate exports in November.
