US CRC exports up 3.9 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 35,835 mt in March 2020, up 3.9 percent from February but down 20.9 percent from March 2019 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $35.9 million in March, compared to $36.6 million in the previous month and $51.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in March with 24,864 mt, compared to 22,105 mt in February and 26,065 mt in March 2019. Other top destinations included Canada, with 9,127 mt; and Korea, with 1,026 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in March.
