US CRC exports up 22 percent in October

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 44,515 mt in October 2018, up 22.0 percent from September but down 9.8 percent from October 2017 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $53.9 million in October, compared to $41.7 million in the previous month and $52.9million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in October with 25,908 mt, compared to 20,614 mt in September and 32,614 mt in October 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 16,880 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in October.
