US CRC exports rise 2.1 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 44,739 mt in February 2018, up 2.1 percent from January but down 12.2 percent from February 2017 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $48.5 million in February, compared to $49.5 million in the previous month and $53.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in February with 28,638 mt, compared to 25,205 mt in January and 27,379 mt in February 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 14,961 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in February.
