US CRC exports fall 7.1 percent in September

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 52,458 mt in September, down 7.1 percent from August but up 8.7 percent from September 2016 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $55.5 million in September, compared to $59.2 million in the previous month and $49.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in September with 38,740 mt, compared to 35,171 mt in August and 26,301 mt in September 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 12,376 mt. There were no other significant destinations (over 1,000 mt) for US export CRC in September.
