US CRC exports drop 5.9 percent in October

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 49,349 mt in October, down 5.9 percent from September but up 3.3 percent from October 2016 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $52.9 million in October, compared to $55.5 million in the previous month and $49.8 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in October with 32,614 mt, compared to 38,740 mt in September and 25,867 mt in October 2016. Other top destinations included Canada, with 15,354 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export CRC in October.
