US CRC exports down 7.8 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 34,927 mt in June 2019, down 7.8 percent from May and down 22.9 percent from June 2018 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $42.0 million in June, compared to $42.5 million in the previous month and $49.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in June with 19,479 mt, compared to 22,252 mt in May and 26,531 mt in June 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 13,206 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in June.
