US CRC exports down 7.1 percent in April

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheet totaled 42,121 mt in April 2019, down 7.1 percent from March and down 7.9 percent from April 2018 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $47.6 million in April, compared to $51.7 million in the previous month and $50.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in April with 25,964 mt, compared to 26,065 mt in March and 27,420 mt in April 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 13,766 mt. There were no other major destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in April.
