According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 23,763 mt in April 2020, down 33.7 percent from March and down 43.6 percent from April 2019 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $22.6 million in April, compared to $35.9 million in the previous month and $47.6 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in April with 20,270 mt, compared to 24,864 mt in March and 25,964 mt in April 2019. Other top destinations included Canada, with 2,714 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in April.
