US CRC exports down 23.9 percent in September

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 36,486 mt in September 2018, down 23.9 percent from August and down 30.4 percent from September 2017 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $41.7 million in September, compared to $56.3 million in the previous month and $55.5 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in September with 20,614 mt, compared to 27,791 mt in August and 38,740 mt in September 2017. Other top destinations included Canada, with 14,789 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in September.
